LEGO Disney project `Marley` among multiple cancellations at TT Games

TT Games, the developer behind several Lego games, has reportedly canceled a number of projects, including "Project Marley," a game that was set to feature Disney properties such as The Jungle Book, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Frozen.

The cancellations appear to also include the currently in development Lego Star Wars Mandalorian DLC. NintendoLife was the first to break the news.

Project Marley

Fans of LEGO and Disney were ecstatic to learn that a new game, codenamed 'Project Marley,' was in the works at TT Games. The game promised to bring beloved animated properties like Jungle Book, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Toy Story to life in LEGO form, and it was set to feature multiple Disney worlds and characters.

However, fans' hopes have been dashed as sources report that TT Games has canceled the game, along with several other projects.

According to sources, 'Project Marley' would have allowed players to explore a large overworld as well as Diablo-style dungeons, with the goal of ridding each world of an evil purple force that was corrupting the environment. It would have been a dream come true for LEGO and Disney fans alike, but sadly, it seems that a concept is all we will have.

Mandalorian

And it somehow gets even worse for LEGO fans, as along with 'Project Marley,' it has been reported that the highly anticipated LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian DLC is in jeopardy.

While TT Games has not issued an official statement, it appears that the cancellations are part of an effort to refocus the company's efforts on other projects.

Disappointing

It's always disappointing to hear about canceled projects, especially when they involve beloved franchises like LEGO and Disney.

Fans can, however, look forward to the many other LEGO games that TT Games has released and will release in the future. Who knows, maybe one day 'Project Marley' and its eclectic mix of Disney worlds and characters will come to life in another form.
