Ubisoft Goes All-In with Three New Assassin's Creed Titles in the Works: Nebula, Raid, and Echoes

Insider Gaming sources say Ubisoft is going all-in on the Assassin's Creed franchise, with three more full-fledged titles in the conceptual and prototype stages.

The Assassin's Creed titles, codenamed Nebula, Raid, and Echoes, will be developed by different studios and will have vastly different playstyles than their predecessors. "They're going all in with AC and some other major franchises," according to one source.

The Projects

Ubisoft Sofia has pitched Project Nebula, an Assassin's Creed game set in India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean. Ubisoft Chengdu has pitched Project Raid, a free-to-play 4-player co-op title with PvE elements. The title's characters are expected to be drawn from the Assassin's Creed universe. Ubisoft Annecy has pitched Project Echoes, a multiplayer title based on Ubisoft Scalar technology.

Annual

According to sources, the series will return to its annual release cycle, with major entries being significantly different from the last. The first, Assassin's Creed Mirage, will be released in August of this year, followed by Assassin's Creed Nexus in 2023. Sources revealed that Codename Red is set to release in 2024, Assassin's Creed Invictus in 2025, and Assassin's Creed Hexe in 2026. Internal release dates, however, are uncertain, especially given Ubisoft's history of delaying titles and also because all of this is based on purely rumors. (All be it very strong ones)

The name is red

According to their source, Codename Red is already in good shape, with its spin on the series set to feature two playable characters and a strong emphasis on stealth. As Ubisoft prepares to expand the Assassin's Creed universe, fans can expect significant changes and diversity in gameplay styles.

It's unclear when the three prototyped games will be released, especially with the long development times nowadays; however, one thing is certain: Ubisoft is going all-in on Assassin's Creed.
