Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will require Online Connection Even in Single Player
Players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be required to be online at all times, even when playing in single player.
That's according to a game FAQ published yesterday. "Yes, an internet connection is required to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League solo or via online co-op." Nobody, including us at NeonLightsMedia, knows why this unfortunate decision was made, but we suspect it is to counter piracy.
Spoiling the milk
This decision has received a lot of backlash from the community, and for many, it spoils the hype generated by the gameplay shown during last night's State of Play broadcast, which was otherwise relatively well received apart from some gameplay critiques.
The Justice League, comprised of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot, is seen taking on a multitude of enemies in the gameplay.
Battle pass
The game will also receive a battle pass, which has received some criticism, but not much because it will only contain cosmetic items, according to developer Rocksteady. After the game is released, new characters and missions should be added for free.
Release
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on May 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, and can be played solo or with up to four other players.
