NINTENDO SWITCH 2 LINEUP LEAKS - MARIO KART ISN'T THE ONLY THING COOKING IN NINTENDO'S KITCHEN

Ever wondered what would happen if Nintendo decided to throw every third-party publisher into a room and said "Hey, want to port literally everything you've got?" (SPOILER ALERT: APPARENTLY THEY DID EXACTLY THAT)

The rumor mill is churning out some spicy details about the Nintendo Switch 2's game lineup, and boy oh boy, it's starting to look like Nintendo's next console might actually have some serious horsepower under the hood.

THE HEAVY HITTERS

Let's start with the big guns, shall we? Assassin's Creed Mirage and Shadows are reportedly making their way to the system in 2025. Ubisoft is apparently so excited about the Switch 2's capabilities that they're bringing over half a dozen games, including Rainbow Six Siege and The Division .

But wait, it gets better. Microsoft is apparently bringing the entire Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator to the party.

THE WILDEST RUMORS

Now, here's where things get really interesting. There are whispers about Red Dead Redemption 2, Tekken 8, and even Cyberpunk 2077 making their way to the system (CDPR, PLEAAASE DON'T BREAK ANOTHER CONSOLE AT LAUNCH). Metal Gear Solid Delta is also supposedly in the pipeline for 2025, because apparently, Snake couldn't resist sneaking onto yet another Nintendo platform.

THE "SERIOUSLY?" SECTION

Some rumors are pushing the boundaries of believability, like GTA VI coming to Switch 2 (copium), though GTA V seems more realistic. There's also talk about Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth, which would be quite the coup for Nintendo if true .

WHAT WE ACTUALLY KNOW

Currently, only Mario Kart has been officially confirmed, with Yooka-Replaylee being the only other game to make a cryptic reference to a Nintendo platform. The Pokémon Company, meanwhile, seems content sticking to the original Switch for now (BECAUSE WHY FIX WHAT ISN'T BROKEN, RIGHT?).

THE WAITING GAME

If even half of these rumors turn out to be true, the Switch 2 might actually be the most third-party friendly Nintendo console since the SNES. With an apparent 2025 release window, we shouldn't have to wait too long to find out which of these rumors are legit and which ones are just wishful thinking.

For now, though, take everything with enough salt to give you a stroke. After all, this is Nintendo we're talking about, and they have a habit of zigging when everyone expects them to zag.
