Fortnite Dark Voyager Locations: How to Find the Boss

Hunting down the Dark Voyager is the only way to clear your latest story quest, but finding him on an unmarked map is a massive headache.

Chapter 7 Season 2 is wrapping up, and Epic hit us with the Week 11 story quests to set the stage for the big live event finale. Your main objective is to "Damage Dark Voyager in an attempt to weaken him." It sounds like a straightforward bounty until you load in and realize the game refuses to give you a single map marker. It's just you dropping onto the island completely blind.

If you're already scrambling to get everything in order for the impending finale, you might want to check out my guide on claiming the free Dark Voyager Sidekick pet so your locker is fully stocked. As for the boss himself, I spent a good chunk of time scouting his patrol routes so you don't have to wander aimlessly.

Tracking the Boss Spawns

Before you waste half a match sprinting across the island, you need to know his specific drop zones. The Dark Voyager randomly spawns at one of three points of interest every single match.

Spawn Location Map Position
Dark Dominion Dead center of the island map.
Toybox Docks Located just north of Tiptop Terrace.
Perfect Plunge Located directly south of Battlewood Boulevard.

I strongly recommend gliding straight into Dark Dominion right out of the Battle Bus. Because it sits directly in the center of the map, you can easily pivot north to Toybox Docks or south to Perfect Plunge if he isn't there. Keep your eyes glued to your minimap. When you get close, a little skull wearing a crown will pop up on your radar, confirming he's stomping around nearby.

Securing the Kill and the Loot

You really need to be fast with your rotations. Only one Dark Voyager exists per match. If someone beats you to the punch and takes him out before you arrive, he is gone for good. You'll be forced to back out to the lobby and try your luck in a fresh game.

Once you actually find him and deal the required damage, you automatically clear the Week 11 objective. Even better, defeating him forces him to drop the Dark Voyager's Obliterator Shotgun. This weapon is an absolute monster, carrying exactly double the ammo capacity of the standard Chaos Reloader Shotgun. It gives you plenty of firepower to steamroll your way through the rest of the match.
