Viking Adventure Game Valheim Won't Be Sailing Onto PlayStation Consoles Anytime Soon, Says Developer

Gamers hoping to see Valheim on PlayStation consoles may have to wait for the time being.  As there are currently no plans to bring the game to PlayStation, according to Jonathan Smårs of developer Iron Gate Studios.

This was revealed in an interview with Smårs on the XEP Podcast, in which he stated that the team is only working on the recently released Xbox version, but he left the door open, saying "you never know for sure."

Valheim

Valheim, which was released earlier this week on Xbox consoles and Game Pass for consoles, has already been available on PC and Game Pass for PC. The game is set in a vast, procedurally generated world where players can band together as Vikings to defeat enemies and survive in a Norse-inspired world. The game supports cross-platform play between the PC and Xbox versions, making it an excellent choice for gamers who enjoy playing with their friends.

the future

According to Smårs , the Xbox version was released because Microsoft approached Iron Gate Studios and the developer expressed interest in releasing the game on Microsoft platforms.

Fans of PlayStation will have to wait and see if the game ever makes its way to that console. But, in the meantime, Xbox and PC gamers can enjoy the adventure and excitement of Valheim's beautiful graphics and immersive gameplay.
