rumor
This news follows a rumor that Ubisoft Montreal was working on a new main game in the series called Project Blackbird as well as a multiplayer game in the style of Escape from Tarkov called Project Maverick earlier this year. These projects were said to be part of the same game at first but were separated during development.
previews
According to Insider Gaming, the team met earlier this week and was shown previews of several games, including Splinter Cell and the new Far Cry. Ubisoft confirmed the meeting's existence with a tweet.
report
According to the report, Ubisoft intends to release the two Far Cry games, as well as a multiplayer Assassin's Creed game called Codename Invictus and a new Ghost Recon game called Project Over, all in 2025.
the wait
Far Cry fans can look forward to a new game co-developed by Ubisoft Toronto and Montreal, combining the expertise of both studios. With a rumored 2025 release date, players will have to wait a little longer for the new titles, but the wait will be well worth it for series fans.
