Jedi: Survivor's Rocky Start: PC Gamers Facing a Galactic-Sized Mess

The force may not be strong with this one – at least, not yet. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is finally out, but if you're a PC gamer, you might want to put your lightsaber away for the time being. With a "Mixed" rating on Steam and 3,922 reviews, only 41% of which are positive, it appears that the dark side has taken over the PC version of the game.

the root

What is the root of this storm of negativity? Problems with performance. Even on high-end graphics cards and processors, users are reporting CPU issues, inconsistent framerates, infinite loading, and crashes. Jedi: Survivor appears to be a hot mess on PC, regardless of how powerful your gaming rig is.

promises

Some may not be surprised by this difficult launch. Prior to the game's release, developer Respawn promised "weeks" of fixes, raising eyebrows among fans. The gaming community quickly took to social media to express their fears about the PC port's launch state.

everywhere

Regrettably, the disturbance in the force is not limited to PC players. Bugs, stuttering, crashes, and other issues reminiscent of the PC port have also been reported by Xbox and PlayStation users. Gamers on all platforms should temper their expectations until much-needed bug fixes are released.

more time

There may come a time in a galaxy far, far away when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor runs smoothly on all systems. But, for the time being, the force will require a little more time to awaken
