JASON BLUNDELL JOINS FORCES WITH BUNGIE: cod ZOMBIES founder TACKLES SCI-FI

Well, well, well. Looks like the zombie master himself, Jason Blundell, is trading in his undead hordes for some space magic. The man who brought us Call of Duty's mind-bending Zombies mode has apparently gotten tired of the smell of rotting flesh and decided to take a shower in stardust instead.

Destiny 2 SC on Steam.

FROM NAZI ZOMBIES TO SPACE WIZARDS

Blundell, the mad genius behind some of gaming's most convoluted Easter eggs, has set up shop in a new studio within Sony's empire. But here's the kicker – they've buddied up with none other than Bungie, the folks who brought us Destiny 2 and its never-ending quest to make gamers grind until their fingers fall off.

A "BRAND-NEW SCIENCE-FANTASY UNIVERSE" (BECAUSE WE NEEDED ANOTHER ONE)

The dynamic duo is reportedly cooking up "an action game set in a brand-new science-fantasy universe." Oh joy, another sci-fi world to get lost in. Because apparently, the seventeen we already have weren't enough. Let's hope this one comes with a map and a fucking compass, eh?

BUNGIE'S SLOPPY SECONDS

Now, here's where it gets interesting. Word on the street is that this isn't some fresh-out-of-the-oven idea. Nope, this is a project Bungie had already been tinkering with, probably in between nerfing Warlocks and making Titans cry. So, what we're looking at is essentially Bungie's table scraps with a side of Blundell's secret sauce.

WHAT TO EXPECT (BESIDES CONFUSION)

Knowing Blundell's penchant for complexity, we can probably expect a game where you'll need a PhD in quantum mechanics just to understand the tutorial. Combine that with Bungie's love for grinding, and we might be looking at the world's first game that takes literal years to complete the opening cutscene.

Will it have zombies? Probably not. Will it have some batshit crazy equivalent that'll make us wish for the simplicity of the undead? You bet your ass it will.

FINAL THOUGHTS: CAUTIOUSLY EXCITED (AND SLIGHTLY TERRIFIED)

Look, Blundell's got chops. The man could probably make watching paint dry an intense, lore-filled experience. And Bungie, for all their faults, know how to make a damn fine shooter. So, this collaboration could be the best thing since sliced bread... or it could be a dumpster fire of cosmic proportions.

Either way, I'm grabbing my popcorn and strapping in for the ride. Here's hoping it's more "Holy shit, this is amazing" and less "What the fuck am I even playing?"

Stay tuned, folks. The sci-fi landscape is about to get a whole lot weirder. And probably a lot more confusing. Goddamnit, Blundell.
