PlayStation 5's Gran Turismo 7 introduces Sophy, the ultimate AI driver that will beat you in 50 different ways without cheating will be added in the newest February update

This latest innovation, which will be included in the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 update, was revealed in a YouTube video alongside the addition of the much anticipated Playstation VR2 support.

Temporary Mode

The PlayStation 5 version of the game will include a temporary mode in which players will be able to compete against Sophy, an artificial intelligence designed with a neural network capable of defeating e-sports drivers using the exact same rules as human players.

Sophy is not your typical AI in other racing games because she strictly adheres to the physics rules and is not allowed to cheat in any way, at least until she becomes sentient and decides to try it out.

First look

The Gran Turismo Sophy Race Together mode will introduce players to Sophy, the game's newest and toughest competitor. The mode will function on four tracks of varying difficulty, from beginner to expert. Players can race against four different Sophy-driven cars, as well as compete in a 1v1 mode in which Sophy and the human player race one-on-one with the same car and settings.

To compete against Sophy, the player must first reach Collector Level 6. The mode will be available from February 21 to the end of March.

VR2.

Apart from Sophy, Gran Turismo 7 will also include the much anticipated PlayStation VR2 support. The PlayStation VR1 was already an amazing addition to the series and dialed up the realism 101%, so it's understandable why fans are overjoyed.

The update will also include five new cars and the Grand Valley as a new track. So, put on your racing gloves and VR headset and prepare to compete against the ultimate driver, Sophy.
