Well, well, well. Looks like Bungie and NetEase are still trying to milk the Destiny cow on mobile. Surprise, surprise.
DESTINY RISING: THE MOBILE GAME NO ONE ASKED FOR
So, here's the scoop: There's an unannounced Destiny mobile game in the works, and it's got the oh-so-creative title of "Destiny Rising." Real original, guys. Really pushing the envelope there.
NETEASE AND BUNGIE: A MATCH MADE IN MICROTRANSACTION HEAVEN
Who's behind this mobile monstrosity? None other than NetEase, the kings of turning beloved franchises into tap-to-win slot machines, and Bungie, who apparently didn't learn their lesson from Destiny 2's monetization shitstorm.
NOT DEAD YET
Despite rumors of its demise, this mobile abomination is apparently still kicking. That's right, folks. The project hasn't been canceled. Because clearly, what the world needs right now is another gacha game to drain our wallets and our will to live.
WHAT TO EXPECT
While details are scarcer than loot drops in a Destiny raid, we can make some educated guesses about what Destiny Rising will offer:
Microtransactions up the wazoo
Watered-down gameplay that barely resembles Destiny

Look, we get it. Mobile games print money faster than the Feds during a recession. But do we really need Destiny on our phones? Are our bathroom breaks not sacred anymore?
Only time will tell if Destiny Rising will actually see the light of day or if it'll join the graveyard of canceled mobile games. Either way, prepare your wallets and your patience, Guardians. The mobile frontier is a cruel and unforgiving place.
