Destiny 2 Goal Triumph Guide: Where To Find The Hidden Net

Stop kicking the Tower soccer ball into the obvious goals because Bungie wants you to look elsewhere for this new Triumph.

The Monument of Triumph update dropped a massive checklist on my lap. Amidst the new catalysts and the new Cull's Shadow Exotic mission, there are tons of weird little tasks to knock out in the social spaces. One of the loudest Triumphs on the list is enthusiastically named GOOOAAAALLL!!! (yes, it really has that many exclamation points). The challenge demands you score a goal in a hidden net. If you have spent any time messing around in the Tower Hangar, you know there is a small soccer pitch set up. But before you waste time kicking the ball into the glowing green barriers on the sides of the carpet, you need to know that the actual net is hiding upstairs.

Locating The Hangar Soccer Pitch

First, you need to find the ball itself. When you spawn into the central Tower hub, take a left and follow the main path straight into the Hangar. You will find the soccer ball resting right in front of Saint-14 in the middle of the room.

Navigating The Hidden Route

You interact with the ball by simply walking into it. The physics can be incredibly clunky, so I highly recommend taking it slow (I spent way too long accidentally bouncing it off Saint-14's head before I figured out the exact angle). Instead of aiming for the actual nets on the left and right sides of the pitch, you need to push the ball backward toward the main Tower entrance.

Follow this exact path to avoid losing the ball over the railing:

  • Push the ball across the Hangar floor toward the red staircase that leads back to the Courtyard.

  • Carefully bump it up the first small set of red stairs. You really want to avoid kicking it too hard so it doesn't fly over the side.

  • Instead of going all the way up to the Courtyard, hook a right and gently push it up the white stairs.

  • This path leads straight into the old Future War Cult faction room. You might remember it as the big windowed space overlooking the Hangar.

  • Push the ball directly through the green light barrier at the entrance of that room.

The second the ball crosses that green barrier, the game registers it as a goal and the Triumph pops on your screen.

Claiming Your Legendary Marks

Once you score, don't forget to actually open your Journey page and claim the completed challenge. Ticking this box hands you 10 Legendary Marks. You spend this unique currency back at the Monument of Guardian Tenets in the central Tower to unlock old Sparrows, armor sets, ships, Ghost shells, and engrams.

You can knock out a lot of these Tower achievements in a single run. I highly suggest grabbing this soccer challenge right after you finish checking in on the robot dog, which you can easily track down using my Destiny 2 Archie location guide. Getting these non-combat Triumphs out of the way early gives you a nice starting budget for the vendor kiosks before you ever fire a single weapon.
